Tissington to Parwich and back

This walk is not one to be missed! The route includes Tissington, our starting point and well known for Tissington Hall, built way back in 1609 by Francis FitzHerbert, and its well dressings, which involve 6 wells.

We also pass through Alsop en le Dale, a tiny hamlet which used to have its own station on the line from Ashbourne to Buxton. We also visit Parwich , which is at the top edge of a gorgeous valley with no name, with Bleach Brook at is base. The Limestone Way crosses this valley.
