Location: Park and meet in the free car park in Newstead. The car park is on the left after the level crossing.

We start from Newstead and Annersley Country Park and firstly walk through part of the reclaimed pit, and then move on to Lord Byron’s Newstead Abbey. You will see the Upper Lake, The Fort and Newstead Abbey itself. We return via Papplewick and Linby. Not to be missed! Find out what Lord Byron thought of love in a cold climate!
