From the small settlement of Over Haddon we make our way via Youlgreave to Lathkill Dale and back. Lathkill Dale is one of the finest in Derbyshire and known for its flora, its sink-holes near Over Haddon, its 12 weirs built for trout fishing, and its geology. Parts of the river are known to have dried up in summer, but it can also be a fierce watercourse after prolonged periods of heavy rain. Not to be missed!
