The walk starts at Hartington Station. From there we wend our way to Heathcote, a very quiet hamlet which features some cruck farmhouses, which are quite rare. From there we descend down to Beresford Dale. This is a particularly beautiful stretch of the river Dove- it is narrow and notable for its limestone cliffs. We then return to our starting point via the outskirts of Hartington.
