This is a classic walk from Hartington northwards. We explore the Dove Valley as far as Pilsbury Castle, the site of a Norman castle built, some historians believe, by Henry de Ferrers, who also built fortifications at Duffield and Tutbury. From Pilsbury Castle we retrace our route back to Hartington. En route we hopefully will be able to see Pilsbury Hill, Carder Low, both Ethels, and Sheen Hill.
