This is a classic route which includes iconic Monsal Head with its spectacular views.

We start from Ashford in the Water and walk the gradual ascent to Monsal Head. From there we descend down to Monsal Dale itself. The route then takes us along this idyllic stretch of the river Wye before we return to Ashford via the path through Shacklow Woods.
