Location: Meet and park in Ashford in the Water car park (donations). Parking is also possible on the roadside in the village, for example Church Street.

A classic peak district walk from Ashford in the Water. We ascend to Monsal Head via Little Longstone, with its interesting Congregational Chapel church. From Monsal Head there are outstanding views to be had, depending on the weather. Our return route takes us through idyllic Monsal Dale and Great Shacklow Wood.
