Alport Height to Alderwasley Adventure
Our walk is an exploration of the western side of the Derwent Valley with Alport Height a key landmark in the area. At 314 metres above sea level, it is the first hill over 1000 feet accessible from the Derby area ,and from it there are fantastic panoramic views over both the Derwent and Ecclesbourne valleys and beyond. We make our way to Alderwasley, where Alderwasley Hall is situated, now a private residential special school.
